What Is Economics?

Economics is the science of compiling and analyzing how markets work.  That involves not only a critical look at statistical measures but also at basic human behavior and how the two affect each other.  Economics answers the basic question of how people and companies decide how to use their limited resources, including time and money.  It involves taking broad view of what’s happening in the world to figure out how value is exchanged.

Are you good with math and especially curious about why people make the decisions that they do? If so, the field of Economics may be just the thing for you.  Jobs include such positions as account manager, real estate analyst, payroll analyst, and mortgage loan associate.
