Marketing, Supply Chain Logistics (BA)

What is A Marketing, Supply Chain Logistics (BA) Degree?

Marketing involves managing relationships with customers.  It’s not just about selling your product or service, but also about figuring out what customers and clients want and need in the first place. It also involves deciding which customers you want to serve and how best to do that.  Supply and demand are really important concepts in marketing and sales, and supply chain logistics is all about planning, moving, storing, and coordinating the distribution the materials to be sold in the most efficient way so that the customer is happy.

Customers who want a product or service usually want it now!  It’s takes really good skills in marketing to ensure that the products get to the customers at the right time and place.  You can imagine the kinds of things you’ll need to learn if you want to be successful in this field: fundamental business and marketing, economics, manufacturing, logistics, operations management, and statistics. With the BA degree in Marketing, Supply Chain Logistics you’ll be able to work as an assistant buyer, assistant purchasing agent, or inventory clerk, and with work experience, materials manager, traffic manager, procurement specialist or director.  You’ll also be well positioned to do graduate studies to move up to the executive level.

The video below discusses a “typical” program, so it should help regardless of which school you are considering.
