Landscape or Nursery Management (BS)

What is A Landscape or Nursery Management (BS) Degree?

The field of landscape or nursery management is focused on improving outdoor and indoor environments by choosing and planting the best plants for specific environments. This management program will teach you not only the business skills you’ll need, but also the plant knowledge and skills to manage plant production and proper landscaping.

To earn a BS degree in Landscape or Nursery Management you start off with courses in chemistry, math, economics, botany, and research in agriculture, and then expand to topics like agribusiness management and finances, plant pathology, nursery management, annual and perennial plant gardening, and weed science.  With the Bachelor’s degree you’ll be prepared to manage a plant production facility or a landscape architectural firm.

The video below discusses a “typical” program, so it should help regardless of which school you are considering.
