What is A Building Construction (BS) Degree?

The field of Building Construction has to do with the materials and methods that have to be used to build buildings—pretty obvious!  A BS in Building Construction—also called Building Construction Management or Building Construction Technology–will focus on the full range of skills required to take a building project from the design plans to the finished structure including estimating, scheduling, project management, safety, surveying, and sustainable construction and structures.  You’ll also take all the general education courses required for a college degree. Some BS programs include internship possibilities that could give you valuable experience as a leg-up on full-time jobs after graduation.
