Anthropology, Archaeology Track (BA)

What is An Anthropology, Archaeology Track (BA) Degree?

Anthropology looks at societies and cultures all over the world, looking at how they began and how they continue.  If you’re on the Archaeology track you focus on old, usually buried stuff, remnants of previous cultures.  You may study how people have evolved and changed over centuries, or focus on how the people in societies make their decisions and talk to each other now.

You’ll take courses in people and culture, how to analyze archaeological data, historical archaeology, and lots of other really interesting topics.  You’ll probably get involved in digs done locally or maybe by traveling to ancient sites far away.

The video below discusses a “typical” program, so it should help regardless of which school you are considering.
