Management (BA)

What is A Management (BA) Degree?

Business administration or management is generally thought of as working with people to accomplish a common goal for the organization and for the people who work there.  Successful business managers at the mid- and upper-levels usually have a broad base of knowledge about business functions and also an ability to work effectively with people.  In their Bachelor’s degree work, they may have specialized in things like marketing, IT, or human resources.

For a BA in Management you’ll take courses in marketing, accounting, information systems for managing, leadership, business ethics, international business, and organizational behavior.  With this degree, you’ll be ready for lower-level supervisory/management positions; with some additional work experience, you’ll be ready for middle management.  You’ll also be well positioned to consider getting into an MBA or MM program.
