Communication Arts, Strategic Communication and Leadership (MA)

What is A Communication Arts, Strategic Communication and Leadership (MA) Degree?

Communication Arts looks at various kinds of communications between people, between cultures, and between organizations done through journalism, media outlets, TV, public relations, advertising, and all kinds on business communications. This degree in Strategic Communication and Leadership is available to students with Bachelor’s degrees in Communications or other related subjects like psychology, sociology, or allied health.

The focus is communicating with others—individuals or groups—in meaningful and strategic ways to accomplish some purpose or goal collaboratively. It’s about leading through listening, facilitating teamwork, making sound and ethical decisions, and informing other people in creative and appropriate ways; the program will probably have coursework in each of these areas.  It’s all about leading through effective communications in organizations.

The video below discusses a “typical” program, so it should help regardless of which school you are considering.
